A Romantic Getaway

Rich in History

The Old Doctor`s House is a lovingly restored Franconian property originally built in 1792 which has served as a residence and doctor`s office for four generations of medical doctors.  Until 1996 patients came to Nuernberger Strasse 5 for medical advice and help.

Cosy Rooms

Experience the cosiness of a historic Franconian house with lots of charm and comfort. Feel at home in our spacious, quiet guestrooms which are furnished with antiques and lots of love. 

Our comfortable living room invite you to just relax and talk. Our winter guests will be warmed by a more than 100 year old, cast iron wood-burning stove. In the small living room with its extensive library, you will find the right literature for your holiday (if you read German) or catch up on the news back home on English language CNN or Sky News.

Our Garden

If you prefer it slow, spend the day at one of the shady places in our farmer`s garden. For our guests we provide a big terrace, a gazebo or just a chair or two under the plum trees.

Little Amenities

We provide many little amenities which will make your stay even more special:

* Enjoy our extensive breakfast buffet in the family atmosphere of our house or outside in the garden.

* If you wish we will set a nice coffee table for you in the afternoon with pastries or homemade cake.

* In the little guest kitchen you will find a refrigerator with a nice variety of cool beverages, wines and other local treats.

* You can explore the surrounding area on our rental bicycles.

* We will be happy to give you helpful tips regarding nearby sights. You`ll also find an assortment of literature on Franconia.

* If you wish we can accompany you on your sightseeing tours.
